was held, which is the first of its kind in Hunan and an innovative activity carried out during this year's "Safety Month".
On June 28th, 2024, the Changsha City Construction Machinery Equipment Testing Standardization Observation Conference was held.
This observation is hosted by Changsha Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau, Changsha Construction Engineering Quality and Safety Supervision Station, guided by Hunan Construction Engineering Quality and
Safety Association, and jointly organized by six units including Zhongtian Construction Group Co., Ltd. The event aims to enhance communication and mutual trust among equipment rental, installation, dismantling, testing,
use, and maintenance units by showcasing standardized processes for mechanical equipment testing, failed components, safety accident cases, intelligent testing equipment, etc., providing advice and strategies for the safe
use of mechanical equipment, and continuously improving the level of mechanical equipment safety management.
On site, representatives from the construction equipment testing industry, engineering quality testing industry, and fire testing industry took a collective oath of "sticking to the bottom line, integrity and self-discipline".
At the event site, the organizer arranged four observation areas including construction elevators, tower cranes, hanging baskets, and intelligent detection equipment. Each observation area has professional personnel to
demonstrate and explain, allowing visitors to have a comprehensive understanding of the testing process, testing equipment, testing operations, testing principles, failure mechanisms, etc.
The intelligent detection equipment is a major highlight of this observation. On site, intelligent detection technologies and related equipment for construction machinery such as concrete surface crawling carrier robots,
magnetic surface crawling carrier robots, and smooth surface crawling carrier robots have attracted the attention of many observers.
In order to obtain first-hand data, inspectors often need to climb and walk on equipment, which is inherently dangerous. The introduction of intelligent devices can reduce the labor intensity and work risks of inspectors,
and is also the future development and direction of the mechanical equipment testing industry. "According to Yuan Zhuang, the head of the Testing and Supervision Department of the Changsha Construction Engineering
Quality and Safety Supervision Station, the overall research idea of intelligent testing technology and related equipment for construction machinery is to rely on specially designed mobile carrier robots to replace inspectors
to approach problems. Through intelligent testing technologies such as image recognition technology, vibration detection technology, active infrared detection technology, and real-time wireless data transmission technology,
the data that inspectors need to obtain can be remotely and in real time transmitted to safe and stable areas on the ground and control consoles, Thus achieving the goal of comprehensive, safe, and efficient detection.
The relevant person in charge of Changsha Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau stated that all participating units should incorporate standardization work into their daily quality and safety management system,
ensuring that every mechanical equipment can undergo strict testing, meet safety usage standards, and then be put into use in engineering projects. Regulatory departments at all levels should further strengthen the supervision
of equipment safety, strictly enforce the law, and take serious measures against illegal and irregular use of equipment on construction sites, especially those that have not been tested or are still used without passing the test.
Observation and exchange personnel should apply what they have learned to practical work, further enhancing their ability to prevent mechanical equipment safety accidents.
